Ok guys. With all the commotion in 2013 are out of our way, let's write a new chapter in our life book for 2014. With the next generation are currently on the loose, promises of new innovation and creativity of gaming is upon us. Certainly there are going to be new games and sequels this year and there are few games that got my attention and it's certainly makes me excited. I give you my Top 10 most ANTICIPATED games for 2014.
Number 10: Thief
One of the classic remake, Thief will features all the new environment and choices (oooh i love choices) in completing your mission. Whether you want to sneak by or doing a full assault on the incoming enemy is totally up to you and a variety of great weapons too. I wonder how does the water arrow feels like. Oh yeah, if you ever play Dishonored, well let's just say Dishonored play style mimicking Thief or the other.. way...around. Hey, stop there you thief!
Number 9: Alien Isolation
I know what you're thinking "they're gonna fuck it up". Well I don't blame you guys for being hostile towards the Alien licenses especially the disaster of Alien:Colonial Marines. Creative Assembly, studios behind the Total War series has taken arms for the challenge to make Alien Isolation. As far we know, the game is said to be in survival horror mode and there is only ONE Xenomorph that the gamers will encounter throughout the game. The settings will based on the 1st Alien movie (my favourite) and will feature Ripley. No not Ellen. Her daughter, Amanda (yeah it is her face in the cover). Well I'm not giving high hopes just yet. We have to wait and see. Still it excites me.
Number 8: Final Fantasy XV
Oh gamer please do not hate me on this one. If you love JRPG, well this game is going to excites you. What capture me the most is the interactivity of this game. It looks like you watching an anime plus gaming all at the same time. Great visuals and graphics with the addition of awesome boss battle (or so I've heard). If you're a fan of FF, this game certainly will caught your attention.
Number 7: Tom Clancy's The Division
One word that come out from my mouth 'awesometacular'. The difference between this game with the other first person shooter is that it's MMORPG. I have never seen FPS MMORPG like. So it is something quite new for me and judging from the trailer (I know sometimes trailer will not guarantee the gameplay) it will be most played game this year. I dare to say it that all the BF4 or COD players will turn to this one. Load up guys and start shooting.
Number 6: The Walking Dead Season 2 Series
If you do not play the first season yet, I strongly suggest you do it right now and I can promise you will not be disappointed. Although it is only a point and click game with different choices (yeah choices again), it is of the best story driven game I've ever played. Every choices you make will determine the story. You make your own story. After finishing the first season, I felt overwhelm by the ending and I am anticipating another season. My wish have finally come true then. Walker!!!
Number 5: Dragon Age Inquisition
Need I say more about this game? Dragon Age certainly had me anticipated and for the most part I still love this game. Although Dragon Age 2 is a 'meh' for me, I still have high hopes Inquisition. Bioware please! Do not screw it up again. Please, I'm begging you! Do not fuck this up! Oh yeah, EA you need to do a better job this time around. Do your job properly! Ugh, I hate it when I'm angry. Anyway I hope Inqusition is the answer for all the haters of EA. Well, maybe or maybe not. We'll see.
Number 4: The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt
The epic conclusion of Geralt of Rivia. I like the sound of that. The most love studio, CD Projekt Red, draws a final adventure of the witcher, the legend and the myth. With the double size open world and improve combat system, makes me wanna discover more about this game. Truly one of the most anticipated this year.
Number 3: Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes + Phantom Pain
I'm sorry I'm cheating but to put ground zeroes and phantom pain separately does not seem right. Besides ground zeroes is a prologue to phantom pain, I see no harm in that. MGS fan here's the deal for you. Mr Kojima decided not to make one but two games for MGSV. I know I know ground zeroes will be approximately two hours gameplay but who bloody cares as long as you got to enjoy it right? Right? I can't convince you can I? Well at least is gonna be great game. I hope.
Number 2: The Evil Within
Finally, it's being a long long time for us to wait for another true survival horror genre. The best part is, it's coming from the very own person who is being highly regarded as the "father of survival horror" genre, Shinji Mikami. This time around Mikami will deliver more gore and scarier experiences and his latest masterpiece, The Evil Within is said to deliver just that. I have really really high hopes for this game and that is why I put it very high in the list. Let's just make sure the game live it to the hyped.
Number 1: Watch Dogs
I'm not willing to give up just yet on Watch Dogs although with the delay. This game have so much to offer and potential to be the best game that Ubisoft ever created. I mean who doesn't love hacking right? I hope with the delay, it will deliver and live it to expectation. I'm very excited to see how this goes down.
