Games reviews are being read and watch by the gamers around the world. People read the reviews to get opinion from the reviewer on the games that spark their interest. Good and bad reviews will determine the gamers choice of games. However recently there are many issues regarding the games review until the point of attacking the reviewer because of a do not give certain games justice that they want. I've been called to review on the matter as to why this happens and after grabbing this issue at hand, I come out with 5 things we should know and respect about games review. Enjoy!
A review is only an
opinion of a reviewer about certain games and is not definitive. Certain games
whether good or bad gave different experiences to the player. Most of the
gamers experience may gave different interpretation about games. For example
Bioshock Infinite is one of AAA games and for most gamers this is the game that
define gaming and been describe as superb and memorable but others may think
otherwise. What we experience is what determines
the game is good or bad. It is not the reviewer should be blame 100% but the
interest and judgement comes from the game itself and the way the game gave the
impact to us. That’s why we have to read multiple reviews to give us more
information about the games and decide for ourselves.
# 2 Comparison is good but do not
spread hate
Multiple reviews is
important if we want to get more opinion about the game of interest. Gaming
site like Gamespot, IGN, Machinima and many others have many professional
reviewers and it is good for us to read the review from multiple sources as it gave
us more insight on what people think about the game. It is good to compare
reviews from multiple gaming sites because it helps us to choose. However, when
comparing reviews, people like to judge and spread hate. This happens in the
AAA games reviews. Alright I’ll give you the latest example Grand Theft Auto V
(GTAV). Gamespot gave it a 9/10 while IGN gave it a perfect 10 and what do we
got? Raging, ranting and hate towards Gamespot because of not given the game
justice. Ok, we can argue about the game is not been given justice but why
spread hate? Is that necessary to do that? Why are we so upset about an opinion
that is not to our liking? Even worst people started to attack and judge the
reviewer. This is not right at all. Then suddenly people convert to IGN because
of better review. Seriously guys? Are we that easy and simple-minded? Don’t get
me wrong. I’m not supporting Gamespot or any other gaming site, it’s just I
feel pity and shame because we are so easily taunted and piss. That shows how
immature we are and point proven by the politician.
# 3 Good or bad review doesn’t
necessarily justify your preferences
Yes I admit. There are
good and bad reviews but why bother? If we like the game that people doesn’t
like so much so be it. It’s our preferences. We don’t need other people to tell
and make decision for us. We need to stand firm with our decision that what
makes people respect us more. I think most of you know the fate of Resident
Evil 6. What happen to this game? It’s a disaster and the gameplay sucks. Most
people dislike the game but hey who cares right? I like the gameplay mechanics
and I found that the game to be enjoyable and fun. Yes the game had gone too
far from the survival horror root but is it wrong to like the game? After
playing the game that I started to learn more about Resident Evil universe and
no I’m not the noob RE player. I’d played the game since I’m in primary school.
Don’t let the review affect our liking. The power is in your hands and only you
can decide the game yourself.
# 4 Humans are born to think
differently
This is important for us
to remember. That’s why we argue and debate about our topic of interest. Differences
are good and that what makes life meaningful. So if people argue with us, it is
good actually and this will make us realise our mistake. The same apply to
games review. People perceived games differently and doesn’t really necessary
coincides with our opinion. We have to accept the differences and that what
makes who we are. If your friends like Beyond Two Souls respect that even if
you dislike the game. When you do that believed me people will respect you too.
# 5 If you can afford the games,
just buy or rent and play the games yourself
Am I right? No? If you like
the games so much, borrow from your friends who already play the damn game. Or
you got enough cash and doesn’t care just buy the game. Experience it yourself
rather than commenting about the review and make fun of the reviewer. This will
give you better understanding about the game and do it at your own risk. I’m
not asking you to buy the game that you dislike, you decide for yourself.
