If you guys don't have any idea what's all the fuzz about, well Valve, the developer of Steam had recently making an announcement of their Steam new services. Valve are currently developing its own Linux-powered operating system; designed for the TV and living room and will be available soon as free download. According to Valve, SteamOS combines the rock-solid architecture of Linux with a gaming experience built for the big screen and will feature "significant performance increases" for graphics processing, and is also targeting audio performance and reductions in input latency at the operating system level.

Valve also revealed four new features that will be supported through SteamOS and the standard Steam platform. These are in-home streaming, family sharing "family options" like parental controls, and the ability to access movies, music, and TV shows from "many of the media services you know and love." For the fans of Persona and Shin Megami Tensei, here's a good news for you. Sega Corporation, a Japanese multinational video game developer, publisher and hardware development company had acquired the developer Atlus. Announcing the deal, Sega said it will "gain access to prominent IPs" and "can expect to achieve steady flows of revenue."

Alongside developing games, Sega added that it would be able to maximise the value of its acquisition by "effectively deploying" its new IPs across its Pachislot and Pachinko Machines, Amusement Machine Sales, and Amusement Center Operations divisions.Bloomberg reported that the deal could be valued at ¥14 billion (approximately £88 million/$141 million). Well guyz seems that we'll get another adventure in Mass Effect. For those who played this game know what I'm talking about. Executive producer Casey Hudson said on Twitter, "In a milestone review for next Mass Effect game. Team is doing outstanding work. Looks beautiful, fun, ambitious, and Mass Effect-y!"

Assistant director of design Aidan Scanlan and community manager Jessica Merizan chimed in with positive statements about the progress made so far on the game. Describing the game's progress in July, cinematic director Ken Thain said, "This sh**'s gettin' real!" Though BioWare is enthused by the progress the next Mass Effect is making, the public won't get to see the game for some time, according to BioWare Montreal studio director Yanick Roy.

"Sadly, it probably will still be a while before we show anything publicly," hesaid. BioWare announced the next Mass Effect game last September. It will not feature Commander Shepard, as his story came to a close in last year'sMass Effect 3. The untitled game will run on the Frostbite 3 engine and, according to Hudson, will be "fresh and new."

Well that's it for all the gaming news in the month of September. Stay tuned for more next month on Kaz Monthly Fix.
